Editorial Policy
These are the rules every calculator and guide on this site follows.
Sources
- Hardware figures such as memory capacity, bandwidth and power limits come from manufacturers' datasheets and documentation, chiefly NVIDIA. Model and method details come from the original papers on arXiv and from project documentation such as vLLM.
- Every guide links its sources at the bottom. If a figure cannot be traced to a source, it is not on the site.
Calculators
- Every result shows the formula and assumptions behind it, such as bytes per parameter, KV cache size and runtime overhead, so you can check it against your own setup.
- Results are planning estimates. Real memory use and power draw vary with the framework, batch size, context length and driver, and the result says so. Measure your own workload before you buy.
- Prices and electricity tariffs are inputs you can change, not quotes.
What these pages will not do
- Publish benchmark results that were not measured, or present estimates as measurements.
- Recommend a vendor, or accept payment for coverage. Advertising never influences content.
Updates and corrections
Each guide shows the date it was last updated. When a specification changes or a reader reports an error, the page is checked against the source and corrected. To report a problem, use the contact page.
